Oughton Primary and Nursery School in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, commissioned Setter Play to deliver their transformative play scheme just in time for the summer.

Their centrepiece climber was the popular Shipwreck, which combines a prominent bow platform, with a free-form section that evokes the tangled masts of a sinking ship for imagination-play games

The climber is ideal for promoting healthy development of fine- and gross-motor skills as well as balance and co-ordination. We designed a nautical theme in the safety surfacing underfoot, to deepen the theme and add more vibrancy.

We also installed a challenging adventure trail to connect with the school’s existing balance beams, to add more room to play

On the other side of the climber some challenging climbing walls lead up to the hill

We were hugely pleased to be picked by another local school, and we are very proud of this scheme.
