I would like to say thank you for the incredible work that has taken place over the Summer 2024 in our playground. 

The planning was a very supported and enjoyable process. We were advised brilliantly about health, safety and children’s feedback when we choosing our equipment. 

The work took place partly when the children were away but also when the children were in school. The workers demonstrated professionalism to the highest level. They communicated with our children and explained the building process to them. A few weeks after the installation, we had a health and safety certification visit. The feedback from the independent company was that they haven’t seen work of that high standard for years and that the climbing frames have been built and installed beautifully to maximise safety and enjoyment from all children. They were full of praise and explained that our climbing frame would last years as it is such incredible quality. 

Our playground installation was a very smooth process from the first discussions to the handover. Jonathan was always supportive, clear and understanding of the day to day running of a school. 

I recommend Setter Play to any school that would like to bring joy to their pupils through their playground equipment.

Kensington Academy

Since the completion in January 2024, the outdoor space has been a huge success. Our children absolutely love it, so do the teachers and parents! Every visitor’s first impression is how fantastic the outdoor area looks, and the design and quality have received endless praise.

We even had an Ofsted inspection in June last year, and once again received an Outstanding rating. The inspector was particularly impressed with the outdoor provision, noting in the report how exceptionally well-designed the space is and how it offers rich learning opportunities for the children.

Indo-Chinese Little Rainbows Day Nursery

As a parish councillor for Stadhampton, I’m delighted to share our overwhelmingly positive experience working with Setter Play on the design and installation of our new play area on the village green.

From our very first conversation, Aleks at Setter Play was fantastic to work with. He was incredibly responsive, full of creative ideas, and immediately grasped the vision we had for the space. This was not a straightforward project – we had to work within the same footprint as the previous play area and had ambitious goals around accessibility. Not to mention, there were some strong opinions within the village, but Aleks handled every interaction with such professionalism, warmth, and clarity that he quickly earned the respect of everyone involved. He navigated community engagement with a deft, considerate touch that made a real difference.

The final design far exceeded our expectations. We challenged Setter Play to dream big within some pretty tight constraints, and they absolutely delivered. The way they integrated inclusive, accessible features without compromising on fun, aesthetics, or flow was simply outstanding. The result is a play area that feels exciting and modern but still very much rooted in our village character.

The installation team was equally impressive. Professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do, they made an effort to engage with curious children who wandered over daily to watch the progress. Despite working through some truly unpleasant winter conditions, they finished the project bang on schedule without ever compromising on quality.

But perhaps the most powerful endorsement comes from the community. Four months on, families are still flocking to Stadhampton just to use the new play area – it has quickly become a regional destination. Despite constant, enthusiastic use, the equipment remains in pristine condition, a testament to the quality of both the design and the build.

If you’re considering a similar project, I honestly cannot recommend Setter Play highly enough. Their creativity, professionalism, and warmth made what could have been a difficult process into a genuinely joyful collaboration. We are delighted with the new facilities provided by Setter. The first day they opened for use by students  was amazing, with so many pupils using the new equipment. It has continued to be effective in creating natural “zones” which groups of students gather in to engage with the equipment. Behaviour at breaks and lunches has really improved as a result. The installation was smooth with the team taking time to engage with staff and also the curious pupils. When a snagging issue was raised, it was quickly resolved.
